Terms & Policies

Beef Reservation policy:

When you reserve an eighth or quarter beef from KD Farms with a deposit, you're telling us that you intend to buy from us.  What you're buying from us is a reservation for a part of an animal that hasn't been butchered yet.  We know about when it will be ready to butcher say, within a month or two, depending on how far away it is from finishing, but we don't know exactly when it'll be ready.  Basically, we put you on the next available animal headed to the butcher that hasn't been completely spoken for.  When we get your reservation, we can give you a rough idea of when you can expect your beef.  As we get closer to the date, we can see how the animal is fattening and give you better estimates.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Life happens.  We understand.  Call us to cancel.  That's it.  Just try to give us as much warning as you can so we can try to arrange another buyer quickly.

mail order:

We will mail beef to you provided you live in Montana.  We only ship on Mondays to ensure it doesn't stay in a warehouse over the weekend.  Our packaging ensures it will not thaw on the way to your home, though you should immediately unpack it all and put it in a freezer when it arrives.

FACILITIES:

KD Farms ships out of a dedicated warehouse and meat storage facility.  Our animals are slaughtered and packaged at a USDA inspected facility.  Our freezers are monitored for temperature as per USDA guidelines.  You won't get any meat that is handled by Billy Joe Ray Bob in his rodent-infested garage.

Returns:

We cannot accept returns on product that has been opened, thawed, or otherwise tampered with.  That said, we will do the best we can to make our customers happy.   If you have done due diligence with trying your best to make sure you aren't cooking the meat improperly and something is still wrong with it, give us a call and we'll figure it out.
